These terms apply to your use of placeivo.com (“Placeivo”, “we”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What Placeivo provides

Placeivo publishes information about cities, such as rents, incomes, price levels and other indicators, taken from public official statistics. It is meant to help you research places. It is general information only. The site is free to use and does not sell any product or service.

2. Not professional advice

Nothing on Placeivo is visa, immigration, legal, tax, financial, investment, medical or relocation advice. Rules, prices and conditions change. Before making an important decision, such as applying for a visa, signing a lease or accepting a job, check the current facts with the official authority or a qualified adviser.

3. Accuracy of data

We take figures from official sources and show the source and date for each one (see our methodology and sources policy). Official statistics describe past periods and averages, so they may not match the price you will pay or the income you will earn. We work to keep the site accurate but cannot promise that every figure is complete, current or free of error. If you find a mistake, please tell us under our corrections policy.

4. Using our content

You may read, print and share pages for personal and non-commercial use, and quote short parts with a link back to the page. You may not copy the site or its data in bulk, scrape it with automated tools in a way that harms the site, or republish it as your own. The underlying official statistics remain subject to their publishers’ own licences; please see each source.

5. Links to other websites

We link to official sources and, in future, may link to services such as money transfer, insurance or travel providers. Some of these may be affiliate links, which will be labelled. We are not responsible for the content, products or policies of other websites.

6. Advertising

Placeivo may show advertising. Ads do not influence our data, rankings or written content. How advertising uses cookies is explained in our privacy policy.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Placeivo is provided “as is” and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its information. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

8. Your local rights and disputes

Placeivo is read by people in many countries. If you live in a country whose consumer or privacy laws give you rights that cannot be removed by agreement (for example in the European Union or the United Kingdom), those rights still apply to you, and nothing in these terms takes them away. We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
